Q2 2024 Analysis: Top Air Travel Apps on Android in the UK

In the second quarter of 2024, the UK's air travel app landscape on Android saw varied performance among the top contenders. Data sourced from Sensor Tower provides a glimpse into the download numbers and user engagement metrics for these apps.

The easyJet: Travel App maintained a steady rise in downloads, starting at 15K in the first week of April and peaking at nearly 20K by the end of June. Weekly active users fluctuated, with a notable peak of 126K in mid-May and ending the quarter with 124K active users.

Ryanair also experienced growth in downloads, beginning the quarter with approximately 15K downloads and reaching over 17K by late June. Weekly active users saw a modest increase from 118K to nearly 119K over the same period.

The Flightradar24 Flight Tracker showed a strong revenue trend, starting at $13K in the first week of April and climbing to over $18K by the quarter's end. Downloads for the app had a significant jump in late April to nearly 14K, with active users reaching a high of 152K in early May and concluding Q2 at nearly 150K.

British Airways saw a more stable pattern, with downloads hovering around 7K throughout the quarter. Weekly active users remained consistent, with a slight uptick from 49K to just over 49K from April to June.
